Open Food Lab

Through a series of workshops, Open Food Lab has developed a vision and a platform to achieve an open, balanced and consumer-oriented food system. The ultimate goal is to create a permanent platform where consumers, producers, processors, researchers and public sector work together on resposible food concepts. At the Open Food Lab knowledge can be exchanged and shared.

This vision translates into a model, where like-minded people participate with their own, mutually reinforcing initiatives. Here, public facilities and lab activities are completely intertwined. This model depicts the stories of the most ideal food system: the Open Food Lab.

Kaegh Allen was project leader at Space&Matter for the design and execution of the model and helped to build up the exhibition.
The model was 2x2m and featured integrated LED lighting and 36 separate scenes.
